Cijantung River Retaining Wall Repaired

Cijantung River retaining wall repair at Baru Urban Village, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta has finished. It was made from river rock to make it stronger.

It is already repaired by using river rocks. Hopefully it will be not tumbled again

Baru Urban Village Head, Ali Mansyur Siregar said, the retaining wall that located at RT 08/10 was damaged by flood on last May.

"Cijantung River retaining wall condition is still natural. Thus when heavy rain or flood comes, the materials can slide easily. We hope retaining wall along Cijantung River can be plastered by concrete or river rocks thus not tumble," he said, Tuesday (7/4).

Meanwhile, Pasar Rebo Sub-district Water Resources Unit Head, Puryanto said, his side repair it by using river rock to make it stronger. Retaining wall was repaired along 30 meters. Self-managed funds was used to repair it.

"It is already repaired by using river rocks. Hopefully it will be not tumbled again," he closed.
